The Campbells // Kansas City Family Portraits
It was the first real cold snap of the season when I met the Campbell family up in Independence Missouri for a sunrise photo session. The thermometer on my dashboard read nineteen degrees when I pulled into our location and that was before windchill. Needless to say the strategy of the morning was bundle up tight then strip off the coats and blankets for two minutes - take some pictures - and then bundle back up again!
You would never know how cold it was by looking at this adorable little family! Even little Grant was a total trooper and held it together until the very end when it was just too cold to be fun anymore. But trust me, I felt like crying too! My LA blood was not prepared for how cold that October morning was, but it was worth it because not only did I get to capture these adorable moments I got to be in on the gender reveal of the little-one-on-the-way before anyone else! Just one of those little photographer perks :)
Can't wait to celebrate and photograph this family of FOUR very soon!
