Alix & Roy [engaged]

It was a misty sunrise back in the hills of northern Burbank when I set up this retro engagement session. Alix and Roy wanted something different and special and sweet for their early morning shoot so we went with a little picnic setup. Little did I know that the tree I used to support the setup was an active beehive! Half-way into our shoot the little bees started waking up for the day, but Alix and Roy were fearless and we shot through even with working bees buzzing in and out of the home three feet away in the old tree trunk.

Oh - and they also brought their amazing St. Bernard, Chauncey, to take part in the shoot.

It was an absolutely unforgettable morning.
