Why Having a Certified Professional Boudoir Photographer Matters

Having a Certified Professional Boudoir Photographer can be the greatest thing you can do for yourself. A boudoir experience is never complete without making sure your photographer is a Certified Professional. Why should you go to a certified professional instead of someone who gives you 300 photos for $20?

Let me give you a few reasons…

Why Does It Matter That I Am A Certified Professional Boudoir Photographer

Photography is a business, in nerd terms, that has a low barrier to entry.😒

But what does that mean?

👉Well just that there are no real boards or classes that are 100% required before someone can start a facebook page with their name and "Photography" at the end and call themselves professional.

You all have friends that have done that, right?🙄

Heck. I was one of those people years ago.🤦‍♀️

I thought that since I had a good camera📸 and was excellent at photoshop🖥 (and had an accounting degree🎓) that I might as well call myself a business.

It was only about a year into being a full-time photographer that I realized that my insane photoshop skills, above average photo abilities, and business background were not enough to really serve my clients.

I needed to study and specialize.👩‍🏫

So I tried on every different kind of photography I could to find what I loved. You name it: I shot it!

💍 Weddings

...

The list goes on!

And lemme tell you what:
when I did my first boudoir shoot over five years ago I totally fell in love. 😍

I knew that my heart was totally about love and discovery and beauty and speaking life and purpose into women! I literally walked out of that first shoot feeling like superwoman🦸‍♀️and I wasn't even the one being photographed!

I just loved loving on this woman and making her feel special and beautiful that I knew I had found my calling.

So I grew my business, worked really hard, sharpened my skills, and then the time came. I was really good, but I wanted to be the BEST. 💯

🤩I knew I needed to level up even more if I was really going to set myself apart and give my ladies the absolute greatest experience when it came to boudoir. 🤩

💃 So I did it 💃

Last year I finally looked into options on how to improve myself even more and found a program created by one of the premiere boudoir photographers in the nation that I knew was going to propel me to where I wanted to be.

So I did it. I bit the bullet.

💵Paid the money.

📖Studied my “boudie” off.

🥳Passed the test and became of Professional Certified Boudoir Photographer!

I knew that I couldn't ask my ladies to invest in a session with me if I wasn't willing to go all in and invest in myself and my education to give them a one-of-a-kind boudoir experience.
